'Tis the season - for weddings!

I will be celebrating my first wedding anniversary in a few months and still love looking at all the wedding idea sites. Wedding celebrations are evolving and couples are really starting to create their own traditions. Having a low-impact or "green-chic" wedding is one of those traditions that I think is becoming very popular. Re-using canning jars or vases for center pieces, buying thrift-store mismatched dinnerware, vintage rings, the options are endless and fun to put together.

Here are some ideas that I love.

Modern homes

I love the direction that modern homes are going. Very chic and eco-conscious. Clean lines meeting cleaner indoor air-quality! Check out this updated home, much of the furniture is either homemade or sustainably built. Non-voc paints and reused fixtures and low-flow water systems...oh my!

I like....

These chairs are so cool. Like the Barcelona chair. They are made with FSC-certified machiche-Guatemalan hardwood. My husband tells me that for the price we I could spend a holiday in Guatemala and bring some home. Hmmm......
